When I saw the hexagons and the graphics I thought this would be a cool roguelike game but unfortunately it's more of an arcadey, real-time game.
This would not be enough to give it a bad review of course, it would just be "not my cup of tea".
Unfortunately the gameplay is really shallow and boring, but worst of all the control and movement system is REALLY um. "not there". It's as if it is an alpha game and no-one has told the developer yet what a bad idea it is. You kind of move around on the hexagons, but you only have up down left right as controls so you're pretty much having to press two buttons down all the time. You get stuck on the "edges" of the hexagons and it's hard to tell whether you will hit a monster with your attack or not, quite often.
My hobby is roguelike development and I see a lot of roguelike games and non-roguelikes too from hobbyist developers and a lot of them are better quality than this, and free. Charging for this game is not right. When I saw the hexagons and the graphics I thought this would be a cool roguelike game but unfortunately it's more of an arcadey, real-time game.
